National Speakers Association, Surina is an accomplished actor and on-camera Corporate Presenter. She regularly appears in commercial print, industrial film and television projects for well-known brands, including: Acuson, Apple Computer, Bank of America, Boeing, Cisco Systems, Comcast, e*TRADE, Intel, Iomega, Macy's, Medtronics, Nike, Oracle, P&G, Roche, Safeway, Seagate Technology, Sprint and 3M Corp.
For feature film clients seeking to supplement an existing production budget with external funding, Surina possesses another critical skill: the ability to attract the right corporate sponsors as a result of alliance partner relationships. Notable film clients include Academy Award nominated MacGillivray Freeman Films of Laguna, Beach, CA.
With a financial services career spanning greater than ten years, Surina has held senior-level executive positions with The Brenner Group (Vice President and Head of Private Placements), Coast Partners Securities (Vice President - Institutional Sales) and Union Bank of CA Capital Markets (Assistant Vice President - Institutional Securities Sales). Surina has connections to leading venture capital funds, private equity firms and strategic investors around the country and brings these relationships to client assignments. Notable achievements include arranging $85 million to fund the first Sprint PCS affiliate in 1999.
Surina completed advanced theatrical studies at the prestigious Shelton Studios in San Francisco, nationally recognized as one of the finest professional acting schools. Additionally, Surina earned a Masters in Business Administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
While visiting Sri Lanka in 2004, Surina witnessed first hand the devastating impact of the Asian tsunami on lives and livelihoods. This life-transforming experience led to service as an Ambassador representing Water For People, a non-profit international development organization providing access to clean water, hygiene education and sanitation to developing countries.
Since 2005, Surina has served on the leadership teams of both the San Jose and San Francisco Chapters of Business Forums International, an exclusive networking alliance founded by international investment bank, Houlihan Lokey Howard Zukin.
Surina's passion to reach the next generation inspired her to pioneer and lead a structured personal development program for Christian female teens in East Bay communities.
Surina is a skilled martial artist, intermediate Salsa dancer and avid student of the Bible.
